Cache types

Every cache on the map has a type. The type decides how you hunt it and what counts as found. This page lists every type on one table; each type has its own page.

"At the pin" means within 150 m of it, plus the accuracy of your phone's location. Every type can reach all three tiers: Radio-verified, Location-verified and Logged. Radio-verified needs a receiving station that the instance trusts, so it appears only where there is one. How finds are verified explains the tiers.

Players hide the first five types with + Hide a cache. The five heritage types (summits, parks, reserves, bunkers and castles) come only from your sysop's import, so their badges stand for the real place; to hide a cache at one, hide it as a traditional cache.

The Phosphor theme draws some symbols differently. Each type's page shows its marker in both.
